‘Egg and Spoon’ Exhibition 2025 - Week 2These sculptures perform a dialogue of muttered conversation through rotating movement and mark making. The larger sculpture performs the archive audio characters with the voices and light coming from within its form, whereas the smaller sculpture took on the role of an observer, narrating and critiquing the performance and staging that took place in front of it. Using abstraction and installation to explore performativity in art.
In line with my intrigue of Studio DRIFT’s use of kinetic mechanisms in their practice, I am exploring the enabling of sculptures to perform with the use of an electric turntable.
Materials: Ridgeline plastic boning, teabag paper, screen printing, freehand machine stitch, embroidery thread, film lights, electric turntable, wooden plinth.
